Helsing has appointed a System Architect (Electronic Warfare) in Munich, strengthening its ability to develop next-generation AI-enabled EW and radar systems for the European defence market.
The hire comes at a key stage in Helsing’s growth. As one of Europe’s most valuable defence tech start-ups, the business is redefining how AI and autonomy are applied across modern defence systems, positioning itself as a new-generation prime within a rapidly evolving landscape.
Wenham Carter was engaged on a retained search to deliver this critical appointment. The brief was highly specialised, requiring a rare combination of expertise across electronic warfare, radar systems, AI, and digital signal processing, alongside strict nationality and security clearance considerations.
We secured a candidate capable of owning the design, development, and integration of advanced EW systems, spanning both hardware and software. The role will play a central part in building new capabilities and accelerating Helsing’s product development roadmap.
This appointment reflects a broader trend across defence: the convergence of AI and complex systems engineering, and the increasing demand for talent that can operate at that intersection.
