Our client is a leading supplier of transmission networks for broadband access to the home, set-top boxes, cable modems and digital interactive subscriber systems for video, high-speed internet, VOIP and worldwide customer service and support.  Their Asia Pacific division has been a great success and they have successfully entered the Chinese market which has been dominated by red-tape and protectionist policies.  Due to continued growth in the region they had a need for a senior Sales individual to manage the broadcast sales team and also pioneer their business development into unchartered geographies.

The Asian broadcast market is rapidly expanding.  Therefore, it was imperative that an industry stalwart was hired who could hit the ground running.  The successful candidate needed to have experience from a broadcast vendor who had C level contacts with the operators across Asia.

Action

The Broadcast team at Wenham Carter includes industry experts with regional language skills.  A senior member of the Broadcast division led this project with assistance from a resourcing team.  Suitable candidates from the broadcast vendor space in the region were highlighted, approached and assessed. The client successfully hired the number choice on the shortlist and they are now in place contributing to the client’s ongoing success in the region.
